Tool takes us on a journey of self-realization.
We are giving birth to ourselves
We are midwifing each Other
back to life
The ecstatic agony of the
each pulse a letting in
a letting go
Expansion not the absence of contraction
rather the welcoming of it
This pain the signal
of your readiness
Breathe into it.
This is the reception of your offering
Receive yourself and in this act
The most holy and reverent of gifts
The whole universe is watching
waiting for the miracle that is your birth
"You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered . . .
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader."
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, "This could be a good time!"
"There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are torn apart and will suffer greatly.
"Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, Least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
"The time for the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from you attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
"We are the ones we've been waiting for."
-- attributed to an unnamed Hopi elder
Tonight is the last full moon before the second sun. I feel the presence of all the women and men who dance beneath her-now, in past, in the future. In all dimensions and realities. We who have been born, this time around, in the female form-mothers, daughters, sisters, lovers, goddesses all: this message is for you, from me-and the moon.
You are more than full. You are overflowing. You are my reflection and I am yours. We are returning home. You feel it in your blood-each of you. In the tide running through your veins. Each of you, men and women, are sons and daughters of the moon. Those of you who are currently incarnated in the female body are most receptive to embody moon knowledge. This embodiment is your birthright. It is what you came here to do.
Accessing Moon Knowledge
Your womb is the soil of the earth from which life grows. It is where both the ecstasy and pain of the human experience is most intimately felt. To be a woman is to hold the capacity for the deepest grief and the most abundant joy. Your womb is indeed the witches’ cauldron, as it is within your womb that you experience the universal elements and have the capacity to transform and transmute them (magic). Your womb holds the knowledge of life and death, contraction and expansion, receiving and letting go. Through the processes of birthing, bleeding, love-making, menopause, and many more subtle processes, you are the vessel through which life experiences itself. It is no wonder that your knowledge has been simultaneously suppressed, revered, feared, and banished during your time here on earth.
We are entering a time of great returning and turning. This is not a returning in the sense of going back but in the sense of returning home to our Selves. The time of the embodied feminine is now. It is she, side by side with the evolved masculine, who will guide the human species into the next stage of evolution.
Come home to your body. Meditate on me and meditate on your physical form. When you bleed-you are a conduit of life energy. Through the process of sacrificing your lifeblood you are offering and transmitting your universal wisdom. During your moon you are most receptive to messages from the universe. Tune in to these messages by allowing yourself to feel them. You must create space to do this because your present reality makes this difficult. Many women spend their menstruation trying to deal with the “symptoms” of their bleeding. Your bleeding is not an ailment. It is a sacred gift offering you access to your innate wisdom. As a woman, your wisdom is emotional in nature. You have been trained to dissociate from the world and denigrate your system of knowing. For sometime your form of wisdom has been suppressed and rejected with a belief that the intellect, or rational wisdom is somehow more valid or true. This couldn’t be further from the truth..
Honor your emotional wisdom. Don’t apologize for your “irrational” emotional outbursts. Create space within which you can experience your emotions. Your emotional experiences are your connection to knowledge. Bleeding is a cleansing process. Create ceremony around your bleeding time. Envision what you are clearing from your life and what you are clearing for the universe. Allow yourself to experience your emotions directly and they will let you know what needs to be cleansed and let go of-both individually and collectively. Offer your blood, a symbol of this cleansing as a gift back to the earth, either literally or symbolically.
If you are not bleeding and are experiencing menopause or are post-menopausal this is also a great time of potential embodiment and empowerment. Allow yourself to feel the full power of your hormonal fluctuations rather than trying to sedate or medicate them. Menopause is a powerful time in a woman’s life. It is just as rich of an experience as bleeding and can lead to incredible empowerment if embraced for the sacred rite of passage it most surely is. Through the experience of menopause women undergo a sacred balancing act. As men and women age they lose their respective sex hormones. This loss is often viewed as undesirable in our society. From my standpoint, the menopausal and post-menopausal experience is an example of a beautiful natural phenomenon. As we age, we become more androgynous, more balanced. As women, we are able to experience the more masculine elements of the universe and ourselves. This allows for greater understanding, empathy, wisdom, and spiritual connection.
We are entering a time where the frequencies of the earth (which we are helping to create) are in alignment with the frequencies of the heart. This will allow a balancing of the head and heart and will allow the emergence of an intellect in service of the heart rather than in service of the ego. We have seen the reality that an out of balance intellect can create. Being human means that you elected to come here to be part of the experiment of the human experience. We needed to see the powerful potential-both creative and destructive-of our intellect. This needed to happen so we could see what we don’t want, as well as what we do want. We are now entering a time of coherence-a balancing and understanding between heart and mind. Meditate on the word coherence and allow yourself to align with it.
As an incarnated female, you are a heart-warrior. The current battle for the future of earth will not be fought with weapons and fear. It will be won with love. Love your self. Love others wherever they are at on their path.
A meditation on love:
Envision a being in your life. When you seen them in your minds eye tell them “I forgive you and I love you.” Try this with easier subjects first and then continue on to those whom you might find more difficulty sharing this message with. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. I do this meditation before I go to bed at night.
Men and women: Be true to yourself and honor your emotions, your instincts, and your body. Pay attention to the cycles of the moon and attend or create new moon and full moon ceremonies as often as you possibly can. As a species, we have never known a more exciting time to be alive. As women, the universe is calling on our individual and collective wisdom to lead the way. Return to your knowing. Return to your sisters. Return to your body. Return to your earth. Do this as if all life depended on it. Because it does.
Build your temple around you
Make a nest of your heart and an egg of your mind
Stand in the middle and find
you have nothing
In this place I see my face smiling back at me
the luminous glow of who I had thought was the enemy
Waiting and calling me home
In her eyes my disguise is shown for what it is
and as she kindly lifts the mask away
the tears flow to the ocean
and waiting for me to come home again
Remember the ocean tide
as it runs through your veins
The holy land your body claims as
bone and skin
letting you in
to experience this life
this unending question
again and again and again
Calling you home
Come home my friend
The time will come
when, with elation
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror
and each will smile at the other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.
